In this class, Laura will show you how to use basic tools to make almost any dish you want.
Laura Miller is the founder of Sidesaddle Kitchen, a San Francisco bakery that specializes in raw, vegan, gluten-free (but not gross!) desserts. Sidesaddle started out as a monthly vendor in the SF Underground Market. Sidesaddle now offers private catering, wholesale orders, and baked vegan and gluten-free cakes.

Created on September 27, 2010 using FlipShare. This is our first attempt with making sausage on the Kitchen Aid Mixer. We made two different kinds here: Spicy Italian and Pork Apple. Steps demonstrated are: (1) prepare the casing…yes, these are pig intestines. (2) prepare the meat: cube it, freeze it, then grind (3) add your spices or anything else you want to stuff in there (4) stuff the casings with your filler. (5) twist to separate links, refrigerate for a few hours, enjoy! We used the KitchenAid meat grinder and sausage stuffer attachments. Make sure to watch part 2!
